As always, Sean Astin enjoys meeting with his fans at comic conventions, chatting about his roles, giving advice on acting, signing autographs and taking table photos.

The second day at Comic Con featured a few Close Encounters of the Star Trek: The Next Generation kind. [Unless otherwise noted by copyright marks or credits, photos by me.]

Gates McFadden ("Dr. Beverly Crusher") stopped by and talked about her theater company, Ensemble Studio Theatre of LA. She was excited to have her photo taken with Sean!

Getting a photo of Patrick Stewart ("Captain John Luc Picard") was harder. He was surrounded by handlers and guards protecting him from stray cameras. I did manage to get a shot when he stopped by Sean's table to say "hello!"

As aways at the cons, Sean signed autographs, and hugged, chatted and posed with fans. Many photos ensued!

The first one is a portion of Sean's Q&A session. He talks about his upcoming roles in The Call and Santa Switch, how he got a part as an elf in The Witches of Oz with Billy Boyd, Billy's band Beecake, and does a silent pass for his Harlem Shake video attempt!



Sean leaves a video message for sleeping Lillian, who is a big fan of Special Agent Oso.
